A foreign passport is the main document certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation beyond the RF boundaries and on the basis of which a Russian citizen may depart from and enter RF.
The applicant shall have the right to choose the type of the foreign passport at his own discretion: of the old pattern with the validity term of 5 years or of the new pattern (biometric passport) with the validity term of 10 years.
For drawing-up of a foreign passport, the following documents shall be submitted:
– filled-in request – questionnaire (2 originals);
– photos (2 pcs.), black and white or colour, with the dimensions of 3.5х4.5 cm;
– passport of an RF citizen;
– receipt on effecting payment of the state duty;
– earlier issued foreign passport in case if the validity term thereof has not yet expired.
